Tam-Tam has a blend of several african cuisines. We went there for our dinner and there was only one more party other than us. We got our food reasonably fast..but considering the very few people there i wonder what might happen in a busy day.

The restaurant is in a busy road and the ambiance was reasonable. The menu was short and varied with few items that I have never tasted which got me going. We ordered Lentils Sambosas and Jaja's Kabobs for the appetizer. Bot of them were pretty good and the kabobs were evenly cooked and packed with flavours. The Sambosas as you may guess from the name is similar to the Indian Samosas in look but had a very diferent and nice flavour to it.

For the main course we orderedInjara n Wot which was very good. The berbere sauce was evenly cooked and the injeras were a delight to eat. We also ordered the Goat Stew. The stew was really good but some of hte goat peices especially the huge ones were not fully cooked ...or atleast as well as the other smaller peices.

Alone with the stew we also got Ugali...Which reminded me of a huge Idly(a steamed rice cake). It was very different and due ot it's starchy nature went really well with the stews. We also chose the Steamed plantain with this which was very sweet and we finished our dinner with that as our desert.

Overall it was a nicely satisfying meal in a good budget. I would really try and see if I can make it to one of their weekday lunch buffet check out the other dishes.

Bambu

Bambu is a rather new Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese fusion restaurant. The place used to be Singapore Restaurant and the food now is really good. The ambiance is very good and has a rather modern look.

Coming to the service...our server really spent a lot of time with us and not sure whether he could have done that during a busy times...he sat down with us got to know about our preferences and suggested a few dishes. I went by his choice and chose the "Thai Spicy & Sweet Blast Curry". It had a very good texture and had lot of shrimp much more than I expected. The asparagus, zucchini along with the red pepper blend was very good. The curry sauce complemented all of the ingredients.

We also tried Coconut curry with chicken and it had lots of vegetables thrown in with the chicken and other goodies. Did not like the big onion pieces in the dish but may be that is our preference. The curry was good but not very different from the other curry fare that you get in almost all the Vietnamese restaurants.

We were almost done and packed off the little bit of basil curry that was left over ..but decided to check out the dessert options. They had green Tea and Coconut Ice cream and we decided to give Coconut ice cream a try. It turned out to be a very wise decision as that definitely was one of the best ice creams we have had in the recent times. So make sure you give this a try ...if you like the coconut flavour. ....in the end all the dishes we had had a little bit of coconut in it and we definitely did not mind it...

This one is definitely worth trying....
